Free Camera After We Clear It
On a drain call we cable the line first, then we typically run a camera through it free of charge as a courtesy, so you can see why it backed up.
Shielded Bands, Not Rubber
On sewer repairs we typically use a heavy-duty Husky band with a full metal shield, not the rubber Fernco band held on by two hose clamps.
30 Minutes to an Hour on Emergencies

How Powerful Is Our Hydrojetter?
Our jetter pushes water at up to 4,000 PSI and 12 gallons per minute. That works on nearly any clog, and for built-up grease and root intrusion it's the tool the job needs.
For homes with old cast iron, we also jet the main line on a maintenance schedule, once every 1 to 3 years.
Grease
What Does Hydrojetting Do to Grease?
It cuts it apart and flushes it out. The jetter breaks up built-up grease and pushes it down to the main line or the city sewer.
Grease is behind nearly every kitchen line clog we clear. Even careful households leave a little behind with everyday use, and a kitchen line that has been in place for decades has collected a lot of it.
Roots
Can Hydrojetting Clear Tree Roots?
It cuts through most of them. The limit is a root mass as thick as a tree trunk. At that size, jetting won't clear it, and the pipe has to be dug up and fixed with a spot repair. Our sewer line repair page covers what that involves.
Even when jetting clears the roots, treat it as a band-aid. The opening they grew through is still there, and they usually come back in about 6 months. Lining the line or replacing it is the only permanent fix.
Old Pipe
What Can Jetting Reveal About an Old Pipe?
Sometimes it shows the pipe is gone. At an older home in the Etiwanda area of Rancho Cucamonga, there were no cleanouts, so we jetted the kitchen line from the roof. Dirt came up into the kitchen sink. Dirt coming back up told us that line had rotted out completely.
We replaced that kitchen line, which took about 30 feet of jackhammering and trenching across the kitchen to the nearest bathroom. The branch line we tied into was packed with dirt as well, and when we jetted it, pieces of the pipe broke off. Our drain cleaning page covers what to do when a house has no cleanouts.
